Glee Club is the only sing-a-long choir in town. There are no solos, no microphones and no commitment to come every week.
You just turn up and have a big old group sing of some of the best pop music on the planet.
Perfect for keeping your vocal skills in shape with a 15 minute warm-up every session, loads of harmonies and some of the best musical directors in the country, Glee Club is perfect for all levels of singers from newbies to experts. You will never get told off for singing too raucously or wussily and, most importantly, it’s super fun! THE BUTTERFLY GLEE CLUB is conducted by the gorgeous and talented Vicky Jacobs (Multi Green Room Award Nominee for Musical Direction). Tuesday nights is hosted by international cabaret and music theatre star Chelsea Plumley.

Our approach to programming shows
In a typical week, our performance programming runs like this:
Headline Shows: Seasoned performers; proven high quality shows, either four or six night season Preview Shows: New shows by seasoned performers or newcomers, either four or six night season House Shows: Popular shows tailored for a late night audience
Typically, Preview and Headline Shows each run for four or six nights, then change weekly. The late night House Shows may run for weeks or months.
This approach means we host well over 100 different shows each year, most of them new works, making us one of Australia’s leading presentation venues.
While we welcome all forms of cabaret, we favour those that reflect the style of performance for which cabaret was originally created – shows that satirise or reflect contemporary life and enlighten audiences, presented in an intimate environment.
